About us
Theatre for young people, by young people.
Twickenham Youth Theatre are a collaboration of Performers, Writers, Directors and Choreographers with over 30 years experience in the Arts. Our facilitators have trained at some of the finest conservatoires in the country and hold qualifications from Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, London College of Music and our very own St Mary's University.
Our passion lies in helping young people to find their voice through the use of drama games, devising and improvisation. We want our members to feel free to express themselves creatively, to experiment and play together, respect & listen to each other's ideas, guide and encourage their fellow actors and, ultimately, to create work that is empowering to them.
With sessions taking place in a professional theatre, our aim is to create an ensemble who can grow as part of a supportive team and perform regularly throughout the year, taking part in theatre productions, festivals and local events.

TYT Leaders hold enhanced DBS, 12hr paediatric first aid and Level 3 Safeguarding certificates and always work in teams of at least 2 experienced & passionate facilitators, ensuring that we are well placed to support our young people as they grow their ideas and skills.
