Auditions take place on 16th September and we can't wait to begin devising and creating for this year's Panto. Special thanks go to writer and producer Loz Keal, for generously making space for TYT members to devise, contribute ideas and perform in this years story.

THE GAME OF ZONES: Rose Theatre Main Stage, Fuse International
July 2024
This year's festival was phenomenal, seeing over 40 members join together on the Rose Theatre Main Stage and converting the entire auditorium into the world they had created.
Creative Youth and The Rose Theatre invited us to take over the space for one evening, creating 'The Abandoned Zone' - a dystponian future inhabited by 3 powerful factions; The Solarpunk, Elemental and Forgotten. In addition to live performance of an hour long play created by the group, this production involved pre-recorded vocals, creative captioning, projected images and experimentation with immersive theatre techniques; making use of auditorium & stage space and interaction with the audience who were invited to receive 'AZ MAINLAND VISA' stamps as they entered the Abandoned Zone.
It truly was one of our proudest moments yet and a huge achievement for all who took part.
TYT Spring Festival Grand Opening!
April 2024
Twickenham Youth Theatre’s first ever Spring festival was held at St. Mary’s Church, Twickenham on Friday 19th April.
Members were invited to present new writing or perform an excerpt from a favourite book or play. Over 20 young people took part in the evening joined by local singers and their voice coach, Rachel Logan. It was the perfect balance of professional and fun with so much cheering and a lovely, uplifting atmosphere!
Agency Workshop
March 2024
On 28th March, D&B Management joined us in facilitating a FREE workshop at our creative home, The Exchange. The experience provided a glimpse into professional training & audition technique and opened doors to new & exciting opportunities for TYT members now and in the future. Congratulations to all those who took part and were invited to recalls. 3 TYT members were successful in signing with D&B Management and we can't wait to see where this next adventure takes them.
Richmond Young Writer's Festival
March 2024
On Sunday 17th March, four of our young performers stepped up to present as part of Arts Richmond’s Young Writers Festival. They represented local writers and shared a variety of poems, short stories and mini plays through physical performance and spoken word on the Exchange Theatre Stage. Thank you to Arts Richmond for inviting them to be a part of such a special event!
Twickenham Youth Theatre embarked on a Panto Land adventure!
December 2023
Twelve of our young performers joined The Exchange Players for December’s Pantomime, ‘Robin Hood’, performed at our theatrical home, the Exchange.
In the weeks leading up to the festive season, two groups of six learnt and rehearsed new lines, dances and fight scenes before performing to SOLD OUT crowds and well over 1000 audience members across the 4 evenings.
We are so proud of what they have accomplished and so happy that they had a chance to spread Christmas magic.
TYT THEATRE CLUB: THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG, DUCHESS THEATRE. NOVEMBER 2023
The comedy, themes and joy of this 5* play resonate with the work created by TYT this year and it seemed a fitting way to celebrate another fab year! 30 members joined us for a hilarious afternoon and we loved it so much we've vowed to return in 2024!
FUSE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL

On Saturday 8th July Twickenham Youth Theatre entertained an almost sold out auditorium with their brand new play; devised, developed and performed by the members themselves. Check out our Insta page for a look at how it went!

Richmond Upon Thames Performing Arts Festival
May 2023
We are so proud of all members who took part in the festival this year! The groups focused on solo monologues, giving the chance for each member to receive 1:1 coaching within their weekly sessions aswell as additional meetings with directors to select, discuss and work on a piece that inspired and excited them. All members received medals from TYT for their perseverance and commitment to the project and we were delighted to see so many 1st, 2nd and 3rd places awarded this year. Well done team!
IMPROV TOOLKIT in association with Creative Youth Charity

What an incredible time we had at our FREE Improv Toolkit for 10-16 years!
Held during Spring at the incredible Creative Youth Charity's FUSEBOX in Kingston, we were over the moon to be joined by so many smiling faces. To be rehearsing among ruins of the original Kingston Bridge was the cherry on the cake. We loved it so much that we've added a weekly toolkit to our Twickenham sessions for those looking for more freedom to explore and less emphasis on performance.

National Theatre Private Tours
March 2023
It was 'access all areas' for TYT this Spring, with not 1 but 2 private tours of the National Theatre. This iconic building hosts 3 stages and a magical world of sets, props and costume that was so inspiring to explore. Group sizes were kept to 20 TYT members max and led by an experienced professional, meaning we were able to comfortably view ALL 3 theatres and ask so many questions. A magical experience!
POP GOES THE BOBA
Twickenham Youth Theatre perform at FUSE International 2022
We were delighted to present our brand new, devised, comedy sketch show 'Pop Goes the Boba' at FUSE International 2022!.
The Kingston based festival offers an eclectic programme of music, theatre, dance, comedy, visual arts, spoken word, circus and more and we were delighted to be accepted into this years programme. Pop Goes the Boba was a huge success; colourful, comical and a feast for the senses and we couldn't have been prouder of the whole team.
