POP GOES THE BOBA

Twickenham Youth Theatre perform at FUSE International 2022

We were delighted to present our brand new, devised, comedy sketch show 'Pop Goes the Boba' at FUSE International 2022!.

The Kingston based festival offers an eclectic programme of music, theatre, dance, comedy, visual arts, spoken word, circus and more and we were delighted to be accepted into this years programme. Pop Goes the Boba was a huge success; colourful, comical and a feast for the senses and we couldn't have been prouder of the whole team.

Now let's get cracking on next year's entry!

Heatham House Summer Sessions

Thanks to the incredible support of Action for Children and Heatham House, we're proud to offer holiday workshops for local children aged 9-16 years for FREE! Thank you to all who joined us this summer for some comedy & clowning with Sam, LM and NIcola. Watch this space for our next dates!

Richmond Upon Thames Performing Arts Festival

We are so proud of all members who took part in the festival this year! The groups focused on solo monologues, giving the chance for each member to receive 1:1 coaching within their weekly sessions aswell as additional meetings with directors to select, discuss and work on a piece that inspired and excited them. All members received medals from TYT for their perseverance and commitment to the project and we were delighted to see Evie and Isla awarded with 1st and 2nd place in their age categories. Great work team!

TY Theatre Club

What a joy it was to return to theatre trips in 2022! We kicked off the year with National Theatre's 'HEX' in January and are still flying from the Historymix of SIX in May.

Coming soon: A private tour of The National Theatre is heading our way for March 2023 in addition to some exciting new productions. Invitations will be flying into your inbox over Autumn term and we can't wait to share some great experiences with you all!

The Theatre Doors are OPEN!

Congratulations to TYT members for a successful December performance. The ensemble showed great teamwork and skill in Improvisation exercises and blew us all away by interacting so confidently with the audience and getting them involved in the action on stage. Commedia De'll Arte Master-Servant scenes were a highlight of the evening and demonstrated a clear understanding of the rule of 3 and status switch needed for each scenario. Such a positive end to the year!
